Zeyad is a first-year PhD student in the Computational Science and Engineering program. He obtained a B.Sc. in Physics with a specialization in Computational Physics, focusing on computational analysis of nanoscale optoelectronics and electron band coupling in thin-film semiconductors. As a Master’s student in Computational Science, Mathematics and Engineering, he worked on high performance computational methods with an emphasis on large-scale astrophysical modeling and numerical simulations of General Relativity.

Growing up in a diplomatic family, Zeyad is an avid traveler who has visited over 150 cities across more than 20 countries. He loves to learn about the diverse histories, cultures and customs from around the world. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, hiking and literary/film analysis. Throughout his career, he has been involved in multiple technology startups and worked for more than six years as a full-time researcher, developing scalable data-driven simulations, satellite computer vision models and optimization tools for urban analysis and policy evaluation.
